Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powerful blender - expected more... Looks nice, blends well and easier recipes with lots of liquid. Very loud - doing a nut butter or a humus it sounds like cutting a tree with a chainsaw... Way louder than a vacuum cleaner. Make sure you have a spatula to remove contents [one from dollar store does the job exactly as good as the $20 sold by Vitamix] Cleaning is not as easy as advertised - not a 'self cleaning machine' really. Multiple rinsing required. Very expensive for what it seems a vacuum cleaner motor in a base with a nice plastic carafe on top. BTW, in less than 30 days the carafe showed signs of clouding/scratching and we took very good care of it - questionable durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty Magic Machine We had the Ninja for years and splurged on this Vitamix for Mother's Day. I didn't have a particular model in mind and went with this one simply because it had high reviews online. It is amazing! I cannot believe that it can even make hot soup!! Mostly we use it for our daily breakfast smoothie and it makes the texture so creamy-dreamy. Only con (which is unavoidable I think) is that it is SUPER NOISY. Like terrified me and made the dog and baby cry the first time I turned it up to full speed. I was afraid it would break! But no...that's just how it works. It is a super intense machine and takes its job seriously. You will adjust to the noise. Two thumbs up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Liked my 5200 better I think I use my Vitamix at least once but often up to 4 times per day. So...heavy use. It's not that I don't like the Ascent--I do. But, after owning the 5200 for 8 years this one didn't knock my socks off. I live alone so I often make smaller portions. The wide/stout canister isn't great for this. I have read other reviews about this problem but Vitamix said they had fixed it with the Ascent. Maybe it was fixed a little but not entirely. Once the accessories are available, I may like this better. The buttons have also taken some getting used to. If you have never had a Vitamix before, you may have no problems. They still feel wrong to me after 4 weeks of heavy use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Cent Roughly two months in and this machine has changed the way my whole family eats. I figured like most specialty kitchen appliances it would find its way to cupboard and be forgotten. We use our vitamix daily and I'm not sure how we ever got along without one. It's super versatile and super easy to clean. Beyond the daily smoothies, I've enjoyed making soups, guacamole, juice, bean dip, iced coffee and likely more I'm forgetting. Awesome warranty. American made. I don't recommend this but you could likely puree a Ninja blender with this Vitamix. In all honesty, this is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I would and do recommend this blender to everyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from True user i had to purchase this myself vs being given one for my review so here it is from a true user. here are the things to keep in mind: it is VERY loud, if making a smoothie for one it doesn't do so well due to the low volume in a large container and the smaller containers aren't available yet, made ice cream following the directions and ended up with frosty sludge not ice cream, made soup and when using hot ingredients it was perfect using room temp ingredients had to heat it up in microwave. I do love how it fully chops everything into a nice texture. Not sure I love the overall price to performance but I have hopes for its greater versatility when the smaller containers come out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loudest Vitamix we’ve owned. This is my third Vitamix. We bought it as an upgrade so we could use the auto-select feature and the food processor. The A2300 is VERY loud, the loudest of the ones we’ve owned. I called customer support and they confirmed this unit has a stronger motor and is indeed LOUD. It vibrates across the countertop as it runs so we have to keep two hands on it to keep it on the counter. We are trying to decide if we need to return it and the food processor since the FP will not work with our other unit. We also like the rubber lid better than the polycarbonate as the rubber seems more resilient. Likely easier to clean the polycarbonate. In a quandary about keeping this unit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok blender, not worth the money. I have had my vitamix right around 2 years now and I’ve never been able to make nut butters (the main reason I got it) because it would make the machine bounce across the counter. I am about to call and have it sent in to be repaired for the 4th time now. Customer service has been great, but it costs about $20 in packaging materials every time I send it it. And a blender that costs over $400 shouldn’t break down twice a year while simply blending smoothies. Very very disappointed. Also, trying to make small servings in this is hard. The food gets stuck under the blade and you can’t use the tamper well because it’s so wide and the food spreads out so low in the bottom.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work well and poor customer service I bought this for my mom for mother's day a month ago, and we've had nothing but problems with it since then. We thought it would just take some getting used to, but realized that it just does not work well. We can't blend anything without the plastic getting too hot and then receiving an "E31" (Error 31). I've called customer service 5 times the past week to try to return it, and they have not picked up a single time. It's a shame because I spent so much money on something that doesn't even work well. Maybe we just received a faulty blender. Either way, I would just like my money back.
