Whole Grains Cookbook is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vitamix Whole Grains Cookbook This is a nice compact, paperback cookbook that is easy to use in the kitchen. It has a an informational section at the beginning that covers basic information about the Vitamix wet and dry blade containers, grinding coffee beans and whole wheat flours, and tips on bread and pie crust making, as well as a cooking guide for cracked grains. The included recipes are very varied and include cereals, quick breads, yeast dough breads. It also includes recipes for butters and dry rubs. Finally, there is a handy Troubleshooting section at the end of the book to which you can refer if you run into trouble with your breadmaking. This is a very useful, compact book which you will use again and again. Happy Baking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Start with whole grain! Some of the breads have the amount of whole grain to mill, and I love this! The basic dry rub recipe is excellent, and every spice blend I have tried has been so flavorful compared to keeping them on hand. The flavored butters are lovely, and since getting an Ascent model with the 8oz containers I make them a lot more often. The (sourdough) Potato Starter recipe is not on the page some recipes tell you to find it on, in my book it is on page 47

Rated 3 out of 5 by from needs an editor Is there an errata page for this cookbook on the Vitamix web site? Not that I can find. Many errors. Sourdough starter is supposed to be on page 75. It isn't. I googled 'proofing' and 'potato water' to learn what they are.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of information! This book is PACKED full of information!! All you need to know to get informed and excited about incorporating more whole grains into your baking. Only downside is that the font is tiny and that there's almost too much information included on each page - It's a little overwhelming! That, and now I think I need the dry blending jar!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping it simple If you are looking to keep things simple and basic, the way things used to be, this book is for you. The recipes and procedures are great and the results pale anything you can buy at your local super market. Buying grains in the whole form and grinding them as needed also saves you money. Great addition to your Vitamix dry container.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Thick, heavy, in a few languages I bought this book together with a Smart Vitamix A3500. I do not like this book because it is heavy, thick, pages with sharp edges, includes 3 more languages. English, which I use, occupies only 1/4 of all pages. The book is difficult to handle while cooking. I am sure there is no point to buy such a cookbook without a Dry container, which I do not have. Text in English is orientated on the USA users (names of ingredients, etc). I use a cookbook included with A3500 Vitamix. I actually do not need "Whole Grains". Waist of £££££

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I’ve only made one recipe so far, but made it many times: multi grain bread. I ground up different extra grains (oatmeal, Kamut and barley). Love it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Grinding Coffee Beans - Measurement Error I just received my new Vitamix with the Dry Container - Excited to grind my own coffee beans. The instructions state to use "2 cups (400 g)" - 1 cup of coffee beans weigh approximately 82 grams - 400 g of beans fills the entire container and well over 2 cups. Where is the editor/proofer?
